I’m Leanne, an oil painter based in Dublin, Ireland.

Since I was 10, I've been fascinated by the huge world inside each of our minds, which I call the mindscape. This world, created by our every thought and emotion, forms a sort of "place" that it's easy to get lost in; we can often feel alone in our own mindscapes, and I used to feel quite alone in mine, and eventually I realized I was not alone in feeling alone in my mindscape.

When I came into my 20's I got into oil painting, and discovered that I could create images of the world in my mind, as if it were a "window into the mindscape". Ever since then, I've been trying to connect people with my art; I believe that when people form a connection with a painting, it's as if it's a bridge from one mindscape to another, without even the need for words.

I love creating vibrant compositions based on the images that flash upon my mind's eye when I'm going through everyday life. Oil paints, I believe, are the "medium of my soul", because of how rich and vivid the images turn out; it's as if I'm truly looking at a window into my own mindscape, brought into reality.
